The new generation of MFS8C/9.9CY(W) model lineup is engineered to be EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) for the first time in 200cc class. The battery-less EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) model is the lightest 2-cylinder 8/9.9 hp on the market, with upgraded features from its predecessor. In addition to upgrading this model to EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection), Tohatsu has applied various key features.

Tohatsu has upgraded its 15hp outboard with a battery-less EFI system, making it the lightest in its class and offering better power-to-weight performance, reduced noise and vibration, quick no-choke starting, crisp acceleration, and improved fuel efficiency. A Power Tilt option is available on remote models for added convenience.

The newly designed 20hp EFI is also the lightest in its class, delivering strong torque, top-end speed, low vibration, and up to 50% better fuel efficiency at wide-open throttle compared to previous carbureted versions. Tohatsu 40/50/60HP FourStroke

These engines feature dependable EFI performance, excellent fuel economy, variable idle speed, a high output 21 amp alternator, quick acceleration and a lightweight design as well as so much more.

Tohatsu’s EFI 40hp four stroke is the lightest in its class at just 209 lbs, available in Beluga White or Aqua Marine Blue.
The 50hp four stroke now also comes in Beluga White and includes an improved gear case with a lower gear ratio for increased low-end torque and a durable stainless steel water pump housing.
The new MFS60A combines lightweight design with upgraded technology and an easy freshwater flushing system, offering powerful performance while using less fuel.

Tohatsu 75/90/100/115HP FourStroke

These engine designs are built on Tohatsu’s best-selling models – the MFS40/50/60 and the MFS9.9/15/20. The legacy of their top performing and most reliable engines has been passed on, with a dynamic design and sophisticated details, to their all new MFS75 4-stroke outboard with industry-first innovative feature and characteristics.

The groundbreaking industry-first technology, 4-2-1 Performance Tuned Exhaust, provides incomparable torque throughout the RPM range. The higher torque you have the better hole shot, which translates to faster speeds. Higher torque also means less drag, which in turn means more boating options; it could be applied to any type of boat. From light to heavy, pleasure or commercial boats.

The synergy between the 4-2-1 Performance Tuned Exhaust and our fine-tuned ECU programming, MFS75 provides a strong acceleration when needed in order to get the boat on plane quicker and allowing you to reach the top end speed faster.

Equipped with standard features such as Variable Idle System allowing you to change the idle speed from 650 to 850 RPMs, a low gear ratio (2.08:1) giving you the increased low end torque your boat needs, a fresh-water Flushing System designed to make routine flushing easier, and a High Output 41 amp Alternator, the MFS75 provides the industry leading features you expect from Tohatsu.

Tohatsu 140HP FourStroke

Tohatsu’s recently introduced line-up of MFS75-115A has expanded to 140 horsepower. With a dynamic design and sophisticated details, the MFS140A provides outstanding torque, increased durability, optimized weight and smooth operation.

Unique and industry-first 4-2-1 Performance Tuned Exhaust manifold has been designed to maximize low end torque and acceleration performance. Best in class torque to displacement ratio creates excellent performance for all styles of boats from light to heavy weight, pleasure or commercial use. On certain boat applications, the MFS140A will perform similarly when compared to heavier 150 horsepower outboards that weigh as much as 100 pounds more.

Engineered with Simpliq™ Technology, the MFS140A has a SOHC-4V design. The spark plugs are strategically placed in the center of each combustion chamber for the most efficient combustion with optimal heat conduction, which results in strong running and fuel efficiency.

With the introduction of MFS140A counter-rotation model, the combination of standard and counter rotation models provides better maneuverability and stability in twin MFS140A applications.
