Walker Outboard Services
Walker Outboard Services was founded in 1978 and we have remained a family business since then. We have been on our current site since 1992 and benefit from an excellent riverside location.
We have been active in upgrading our facilities and services. In addition, we made the decision to expand our workshop and have now quadrupled our available floor space. This has helped us to increase our servicing capacity and stock levels as well.
The business invested in an online accounting solution and this now integrates into our online service and customer care package. Even if we are out of the office, we can access client details, service information, order parts and even send you an invoice! With less time doing paperwork, we can spend more time supporting our clients.
Mercury Marine
Mercury Marine® have been making world-class outboards and sterndrives for more than 75 years. They started back in 1939 in a small machine shop in Wisconsin and have grown into the largest builder of marine propulsion systems in the world. Number one on the water. They didn’t get there by sitting still.
There is a long history of firsts, a history of constant improvements, as they have set and reset the standards for reliable, trouble-free performance; superior power and torque; low emission; and low fuel consumption. And nobody has given boaters more ways to propel their specific boats, activities, and pursuits reliably, comfortably, and efficiently across the water.
Tohatsu
Tohatsu started in 1922 as Takata Motor Research Institute and they manufactured train carriages, high speed portable engine generators and radio controlled generators. It wasn’t until 1956 when they introduced their first outboard engine, a 1.5hp. Since then, they’ve only grown and their engines serve a variety of marine needs from commercial fishing and marine transport, to recreation and competition.
In 2018 Tohatsu Marine Corporation – Tohatsu’s manufacturing plant in Japan – reached the cumulative production of 4 million outboard engines. More than any other outboard manufacturer in the world! And in 2022, they celebrated their 100th anniversary.
A truly great motor delivers it all—performance, safety, and the ultimate ease of use. That’s why they have never stopped asking themselves the essential questions about what makes a great engine. They’ve been doing that since 1922, and are uncompromising in their pursuit of outboard motors that are both durable and as light as possible as well as their unique direct injection technology, which has revolutionized environmental performance.
This is their unwavering promise: to deliver a more refined and stimulating boating experience.
